Looking forward to our next concert:

Friday 21st September at 7.30pm

We are delighted to welcome a group of versatile musicians from the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra who go by the name of String Theory

The Hayfield Concert Society was formed in 2001.

The objectives of the society are to hold concerts and recitals of classical and jazz music (and sometimes a combination of them both).

The concert venue is St. Matthews Church, Hayfield (click here to see more information).

An early decision was to purchase a suitable piano (click here to see details of the piano).

Artists who have appeared include:

Piano duettists Goldstone & Clemmow, Quattromani and The Scott Brothers Duo.

Trumpeter John Miller and Tuba player James Gourlay brought a marvellous evening of brass music accompanied by John Wilson.

Piano soloist Peter Lawson, cellist Nick Jones and violinist Jia Zhang have all given highly popular performances at Hayfield.

We are fortunate to have regular visits by one of the top jazz saxophonists in the country, Mike Hall with his quartet.

Other regulars include Young Artistes from Junior RNCM, Chetham’s School of Music students as well as senior staff members from both.

We present up to three concerts per year.
